Haripur: Yousaf Ayub Khan, cousin of PTI’s General Secretary Omar Ayub Khan, arrested by Police

Yousaf Ayub Khan, cousin of PTI’s General Secretary Omar Ayub Khan, has been arrested by KP Police under 3-MPO (Maintenance of Public Order). MPOs are colonial-era laws that are being massively exploited by Pakistani authorities to curb civil liberties and shut down dissenting voices. Since April 2022, after toppling Imran Khan’s government through a military-backed vote of no-confidence, the Pakistani regime has blatantly violated human rights in an effort to suppress Imran Khan’s movement. These human rights violations include and are not limited to threats, harassment, illegal and arbitrary detentions, abductions, and violence.
