Police arrest PTI candidate Chaudhry Parvez Akhtar as he reaches the returning officer’s office to submit his party ticket from PP-207. Since April 2022, after toppling Imran Khan’s government through a military-backed vote of no-confidence, the Pakistani regime has blatantly violated human rights in an effort to suppress Imran Khan’s movement. These human rights violations include and are not limited to threats, harassment, illegal and arbitrary detentions, abductions, and violence.
