PTI candidate from NA-63, Sajid Yusuf Channi, was arrested after arriving at the RO office, where votes were scheduled to be recounted.
PTI candidate from NA-63, Sajid Yusuf Channi, was arrested after arriving at the Returning Officer (RO) office, where votes were scheduled to be recounted. Sajid Yusuf had challenged the ECP’s notification, whereby it falsely declared Sajid Channi to have lost his seat in the elections.
Since April 2022, after toppling Imran Khan’s government through a military-backed vote of no-confidence, the Pakistani regime has blatantly violated human rights in an effort to suppress Imran Khan’s movement. These human rights violations include and are not limited to threats, harassment, illegal and arbitrary detentions, abductions, and violence.
