Senior Supreme Court lawyer and PTI candidate from NA-128 Lahore, Salman Akram Raja, was arrested for the second time for peacefully protesting against election rigging. He was earlier arrested on February 17, 2024, but was released. Since April 2022, after toppling Imran Khan’s government through a military-backed vote of no-confidence, the Pakistani regime has blatantly violated human rights in an effort to suppress Imran Khan’s movement. These human rights violations include and are not limited to threats, harassment, illegal and arbitrary detentions, abductions, and violence.
