16-year-old son of a PTI activist picked up by Punjab police. The police are demanding the arrest of his father to deter him from campaigning
Sufyan, the 16-year-old son of a PTI activist, Imtiaz (an ex-Union Council Nazim in Tehsil Phalia, District Mandi Bahauddin), was picked up by Punjab police 4 days ago. Sufyan remained in the custody of Qadirabad Polling Station without any FIR. The police are demanding the arrest of his father to deter him from campaigning and supporting PTI in the upcoming elections.
Since April 2022, after toppling Imran Khan’s government through a military-backed vote of no-confidence, the Pakistani regime has blatantly violated human rights in an effort to suppress Imran Khan’s movement. These human rights violations include and are not limited to threats, harassment, illegal and arbitrary detentions, abductions, and violence.
